Cardinale Joins Bravo as Vice President 3/22/05
NEW YORK -- March 22, 2005 -- Tony Cardinale has joined Bravo as Vice
President, Program Research, it was announced today by Sari DeCesare,
Senior Vice President, Television Network and Cable Research, NBC
Universal. Cardinale will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and
communicating the performance of Bravo and its competition to management
and programming departments through Nielsen ratings analysis and primary
research. Cardinale will also synchronize primary research and program
information in order to assess and communicate Bravo's current
performance. Based in NYC, he reports DeCesare. This is a newly created
position.
"Tony Cardinale is an excellent addition to Bravo. His experience
and skill are sure to bring new research insight and analysis to the
forefront," said DeCesare.
Cardinale joins Bravo from ZenithOptimedia US, where he served as SVP,
Director of Strategic Research and VP, Associate Director of Strategic
Research since 2003. In this capacity, he was responsible for all aspects
of market research for Optimedia, with additional management
responsibilities at Zenith Media, Saatchi & Saatchi Planning, Team
One, and Hal Riney Partners, and additionally developed primary research
and proprietary research tools. Previously, he worked as a Director and
Manager of Program Research at MSNBC and CNBC and also as a Manager, Sales
Research and Development and Analyst / Senior Analyst, Sales Research and
Development at Comedy Central.
Cardinale holds a BA in American History with a minor in film from the
State University of New York at Albany. He also holds a MA in Radio,
Television and Film from Northwestern University.
